Default SOHC Turbo question

A friend of mine is looking to turbo his D16Z6 and had some questions regarding cams. He's thinking about possibly running a Zex cam but wonders if it's better to run a stock cam when turboing. He'll be using the Greddy kit. I know that some cams can be too agressive for use with a turbo, but I'm not sure if the Zex would be. Thanks for the input.

someone on a different forum dyno tested the cams... and no, they dont work good with turbo. he lost 2-3 hp by adding them.

stock cams are always best, you will be losing power and losing money.

I was running 18psi on a stock cam....worked very well. Although i had a friend that gained like 25hp with a JG reground cam running 10psi with a greddy kit...so a good cam can help.

I think that's a little broad I'm sure if you were going to run alot of boost, you could gain alot of power by switching cams, probably to one with less overlap. (which might seem worse in an NA application)

I've only run across people using aftermarket cams to either stay at the same hp or lose some. You can always go back to stock after u try them
