greddy turbo kit on your current motor will work just fine. it is cully compatable and plugs right in.

96+ kits will supprot up to 300 wheel power so you have lots of room for growth.

build your motor right, and it can be done

I'd say go with the JDM motor if you won't be building it. If you will, just find a good Z6 block. Honestly, most sohc's blow because they use stock components. If everyone was to rev stock B16 heads to 10k daily and float a valve, they wouldn't think it's a mfg defect - on a sohc they would.

FTJ has a sohc non-vtec vitara/eagle setup (cheap) with everythign else stock, and he's pulling around 250whp & low-12's in a '00 hatch, full interior. There was a 400whp d16 on here that had a freak accident with a valve floating at 7k (built head), stock sleeves held fine.

For over 200whp, you'll want a good block, arp studs, rods, and maybe pistons. I'm building a 300whp sohc for less than most people put into just a basic b-swap. My only fear is maxing the 450cc's before 300whp

i would go with the SOHC Vtec motor just because my last car had a turbo'd Z6 motor and i loved it. GREAT DD, at 10psi i was probably around the 200hp mark.
