SOHC Build Help
So after throwing around some prices, I've decided to take on a d-series turbo project.
I want to make over 300hp. That is my only goal.
I plan on buying this.
http://fjdistributors.com/product_in...roducts_id=565
This Kit contains:
-FJ R Spec Custom Length D16 I Beam Connecting Rods
-ARP 2000 3/8" Rod Bolts
-ARP Lube
-YCP Vitara pistons (75mm / 75.5mm / 76mm)
-Wrist pins and C clips
-Piston rings (Hastings or NPR)
-Timing Belt
-Water Pump
-ACL Rod Bearings
-ACL Main Bearings
-ACL or King Thrust washers
-Full engine Gasket & Seals set--> Its all the gaskets and seals you will need for your engine from the oil pan and up to the head.Metal 3 layer Head gasket (approx .030 thickness)
I'm going to get a nice manifold made, but where I have NO idea what I want is the actual turbocharger.
Can somebody please help me find the best turbo to reduce lag and hit my hp goal? I don't want to hurt fuel economy too badly under 3500rpm but I don't want the spool-up to suck.
Do you think it's possible to keep this under $2000 aside from motor work?
THANKS!

Re: SOHC Build Help
Thank you, that does seem to be a good one for my low rev-ing d-series, are there any distributors of these turbos online?
Thanks.
Thanks.
