smoking while boosting!
just got my gt28r on my b18c in my del sol, got it tuned, been driving around with 4lbs of boost for less than a day now and now i'm starting to see white/blue smoke when boosting, and only when boosting. smells like burning oil :-(. anyone know what would cause this?

im having the same problem but the car just smells like its running super rich some im hoping its something a good tune will solve. What are you using to tune it?

heres what u do. and you need to search man, all this **** has been covered 100 times before
#1 compression test
#2 leakdown test
#3 take your charge pipes off and check for oil in them

agreed, this is well covered. I'm dubious that you ruined the rings/ringlands with only one day of boosting, was the turbo brand new? how is your oil return. Do a search this is asked all the time.

well, i did do a search, but i didnt see anything that would cause oil burning only when boosting, and my charge pipes were clean.
i do deserve your flaming though, because the problem was i forgot to replace my dipstick, and small amounts of oil were spraying out of there and hitting my manifold causing smoke that looked like it was comming from the outside of the turbo.

lol, thats great!! you know what that means?? ur pressurizing the crank case. you need to look into a good oil catch can setup so u dont start blowing out oil pan gaskets and piston rings.
