Most of the jerk off replies were made by new people to this site and forum who I guess did not read the rules. And who obviously can't help Vince to tell him what could possibly be wrong so instead they just flame.

USELESS BICKERING
This has been a major problem recently. Discuss. Argue. Inform. Explain. There is NO NEED for name calling, insults, personal attacks, etc. It will be deleted and points will be docked. As far as what really happened. Vince did not just start up his car and go out and beat the **** out of it. We drove it around the night before a little bit and tuned mostly in VAC and a few psi in Boost.

I got a new timing map that night and last night we loaded it in and went out driving around doing some more tuning. We went on the highway and did some 4th gear pulls. Anytime the a/f got above 12.4 I would say stop and he would get off the gas. I had the a/f dialed in a little rich 11.4-12.0 under boost. Everything seemed fine EGT temps were low and water temps were fine.

We were on the highway heading back home and he was in 5th I told him to get on it a little bit to make sure the a/f was good. He boosted a little bit and we heard some backfiring and he got out of it. No way did he rev it to 7 grand in 5th. Not sure if he posted that to be funny or what. Then it was smoking out of the catch can We got off and pulled into a gas station checked the oil and that was good. A collant line was leaking so we tightened the clamp and added some more fluid.

Started it back up and still smoking. I thought maybe the rings did not seat properly or when he honed the block himself he did not get it that well. We were going to do a compression test but it was late so he said to do it tommorow.

So if anyone has any idea on what could be the prob feel free to post. If you are going to flame and be an *** do it somewhere else.

We will see what is wrong tonight after doing a compression test.

 

well if the above statments are true, I would withdraw my stupid comments. But, he just said I went out and tuned my motor and blew it up at 7k in 5th gear. If there was a reason to the blown motor good luck finding the problem. It is always sad to see one go like that. This makes it kind of acceptable now, but anyone that says that he went out while tuning and went to 7K in 5th gear and blew their motor is going to get flamed, because that is retarded. But good luck finding the problem, Also where are you guys from? I see PA. I am Carlisle, If you need any help with parts let me know.

 

First off half you kids are morons Bottom line. You would have realized this when he said street tuning. Gee let me street tune my car thats the problem. Find a dyno or dont drive the thing. Oh yeah not too mention i had my car broken in on a dyno and reved it too 9500 with less than 100 miles on it and guess what jackass's its still running fully built. You kids need to stop making fun of this kids and help him out. Would help if you had a Air fuel ratio gauge or a wide band if your boostin and keep an eye on it while you tune your car. Dont worry brother i have been on here for a while and continue to get booted for trying to keep people straight. Good luck might want too try other forums this site used to be a good resource but with all good things people get old buy houses and dont come back too the site. I think he was pissed when he wrote it. I talked to him today. We did not rev it to 7 grand in 5th not even close. He learned his lesson the first time when he got the zdyne unit and loaded a base map then took it out and beat on it and blew the motor.

I think the problem may be with the rings not seating or he just did not have a good enough bore. I will not get into how he bored the block

Like I said we will see tonight after the compression check.
