so if you want me to do those test then im guessing it shouldnt smoke from the vc vent then. btw it does have low comp. pistons. can it just smoke from it being extremly hot????

blow by is when compression is blowing past the rings, through the valve cover. I have a feeling your rings are going out.

the car is only been boosted for about 10k miles and the most boost its seen was maybe 15lbs other then that it stays at 12lbs cause it hasnt been tuned yet. So you really think the rings are going out???

they are je 9.1 pistons so if i did do a comp test anybody have an idea of what the numbers would be??

b16t, je pistons9:1
eagle rods
stock sleeves with 81.5mm bore
all arp studs and bolts
balanced blu printed bottom end
P and P head with skunk 2 lc valves, retainers
gsr cams
precision 580cc inj.
t3/t4e .57trim/61ar.
the set up was tuned on crome pro with a turbonetics t3 with 12lbs then switched too t3/t04e and havent had it tuned yet but hoping for 400whp...

I wouldnt have even boosted all at if you werent tuned. You were basically tuned for that baby t3 and you switched to a bigger turbo, which is flowing a lot of air than that baby t3. Do you a leakdown and compression and let us know. I have a feeling you messed up that motor.

10k is a lot of miles to go untuned.

you prolly blew your rings or ringlands.

9:1 pistons on my b17 yeilded 180 across the board. Yours will be close if not the same, just look for differences between cylinders. whats your pcv [positive crankcase ventilation] setup?

how do you have it hooked up exactly? There are 2 pcv points in the stock setup:

1. Valve Cover -> Intake Arm
2. PCV Valve -> Intake Manifold

I assume you just have a breather on the valve cover right now and #2 still hooked up as stock?

How much boost are you running? See my sig for the proper way to hook it up you need a "catch can"

i have no line on my valve cover it just goes out to the atmosphere,

and it does smoke a lil after a hard run and i can tell because i can open my hood up and look at it after the hard run....

the easy way to explain would be to watch the video that lakai_19 posted my car does the exact same thing.... is that normal????

A little steam coming out is ok, it is piping hot inside the motor and any engine that has been running especially on the dyno after a pull will steam slightly.

Now if its forcing /puffing out of the breather you may have bad rings/ringlands
