Smoke - What's the cause?
I'm having a slight smoking issue with the car. Trying to pinpoint it, so I can stop it.
Here is when it happens:
When I give the car throttle (little or a lot doesn't make a different), ONLY AFTER having decellerated in gear for a bit. Say, going down a hill, in 3rd gear, there is no smoke, UNTIL I finish decelerating, and touch the throttle again, I then get this large cloud of smoke, which looks white, but SMELLS and is definitely OIL. And then it goes away. If I decellerate in neutral, and then put it back in gear and accellerate, then it doesn't do it. It only does it when I decellerate in gear, and then start to accellerate again.
I was thinking perhaps it was gravity not letting the oil drain from the turbo (during decelleration), and the pressure of the feed is forcing a drop or two of oil to get through the seals in the turbo, causing it to smoke like crazy when I give the car throttle again.
I ordered an endyn breather kit, and I will check the intercooler pipes to see if there is any oil in them. Should I run an oil restricter? Are the turbo seals bad out of the box?
My oil return is fine, and I am not running a restricter on the turbo feed. Turbo is a brand new (400 miles now) Garrett t3to4e 57 trim.
TYIA for any suggestions.

if you think its oil in the charge tubes and intercooler take a hard left when driving.. my turbo blows oil and it smokes when i take a left... if its not that then you might of fryed an ring or valve seal
It's not the valve seals. This wasn't happening before I installed the turbo. And it started when I put the turbo in, BUT BEFORE IT HAD BEEN BOOSTED. The valve seals are fine.

Hard turns either way have no effect.

Than it's probably sucking oil out of the turbo under high vac. Take hot charge pipe off and have a look. A taste test will confirm if it's oil.
It could still be the valve stem seals... Anything could have happened. My radiator was fine until I boosted my car.

Will do, I'll post back with the findings.
