Can I use the SMC with the following:
Greddy blue box, JR Map mod, Apexi VAFC or SAFC, Field's AFC, J&S MAP limiter, missing link...etc

The succinct answer is NO, the SMC must be able to receive the actual signal from the MAP sensor and reprocessed for the ECU to understand.
Okay if I plan on running the J&S V.2 which has the built in MAP limiter how would that work? Would it cross signals with the SMC? Would I be better off just getting the J&S V.1 which does not have the internal MAP limiter?

Thanks

Ben

The purpose of the map limiter is to trick the ecu to seeing positive pressure. What I would do is not use the MAP limiter in the J&S. Use the MAP signal for the SMC.

Good choice...it's by no means competitive with Hondata but it's good to have until people can afford Hondata. Well, good for me anyway.

You have a bunch of us over a 2gnt.com very interested in your product, very.

If everything works as told then there are no problems, but we do have a few questions. We're still confused on how this is going to give more/less fuel with boosted conditions. It has 4 rpm adjustments on it, for up to -55% correction, but how does this unit give more fuel under boost, if it has a built in map limiter, like the Vc2 ect...I guess our question is how does this control the larger injector's duty cycle under boost?

The SMC doesn't cause a hesitation past 1/4 to 1/3 throttle and it isn't apparent during part-throttle driving. The power delivery during full throttle acceleration is seamless. Here's an individual experience who's actually tried out the SMC:

quote for you guys from above URL...

Really guys, it's not as bad as you guys make it to be. It's just a little "burp" every now and then. I drove my car about 40 mins today, and didn't feel it at all. It's just certain times that I have noticed it, and it's not bad when it happens. The second you go over like 1/3 throttle, it's gone and you're boosting away

I'll clarify this, considering I'm the one who wrote that article...

Cruising (Keeping a constant speed and RPM) is about 1/5 throttle. You're just holding on the throttle enough to keep it going...

Give it a little gas, and it's about 1/3 throttle. RPM's will slowly climb, and MPH will go up slowly as well. It's not RPM based, it's pressure based on how much you're pressing on the gas.

I have had it on my car for about 2 weeks now, and am loving it. I haven't had any problems with the unit at all, and I feel I have really gotten my moneys worth out of it.

what about OBD0 the PWO and PR3 ecu's would the SMC work good with those. they run with 2 o2 scencors and a knock scencor to adjust timing to avoid denotation. would this conflict with the SMC or cause probems that could blow the motor?

PS. this thing sounds like a great poduct thanks Zip

The two O2 sensors will not affect the performance of the SMC.

Well im gunna post under this thread becasue i dont wann astart a new thread and get flammes so here goes...

With the smc it says you can boost up to 14psi
With the afc hack it says you can boost up to 11psi
How can the smc go higher? Is there just a better circut that reduces the maps so more boost can be read by the stock ecu?

And every one says there is a "hesitaion" with both the smc and afc hack, is it really bad or not too noticable...
