Default Smaller gap spark plug

Where can i find plugs with a .22 gap? I have tried searching already.

you don't buy plugs gapped to .022"

you gap them yourself....

Turbo keeps fouling them as soon as i boost my car bogs thats the only thing left i think that could be wrong. I am new to this turbo thing and how would i go about gapping them

All i can say is very. The car runs perfect but as soon as i boost it falls flat on its face

0.022 is too small. The NGK BKR7ES-11 is pre-gapped at 0.030", which is good for most turbo cars. They are usually a special-order part, though.

It was tuned and then 2 weeks later this is happening. Why would i lie about something? Obviously as you can see i am asking for help.

I am sure that putting my msd on would help out some. The reason why i asked for a 22 gap is because the guy that tuned my car said to do it

I actually already ordered some bkr7e the other day and i know the gap is 30. So are you guys saying that should be more than enough for a turbo car

Did you say you put an MSD on the car?

Take it off. I had the same problems when using a DIS-2. Capacitive discharge is not good for turbo.

You can buy them pre-gapped?

I had to gap my plugs myself... I don't remember which ones I bought though, they are just one step colder than stock, I gapped them to 0.030" and it works great!

Why would you special order them pre-gapped if you can just buy regular plugs and gap them yourself?

I have msd i just have not put it on yet. I was also reading a thread where someone ordered .30 plugs and the car was stilling running horrible. Adter that he gapped the plugs to .20 and he said the car ran like a champ

Because the ungapped plugs are at about 0.044", and takign them down to 0.030" or less makes it impossible to get the electrodes parallel.

Plus nobody sells proper gapping pliars anymore. Couldn't even get them from Snap-On! Basically you have to hammer the gap down then use the $1 ring to get it back, but that again makes it impossible to get the electrodes parallel.

Hmmmm.... that does make sense... and it does seem like you have to bend the electrode quite a ways to get it down to 0.030"... does it affect performance if the electrodes are not parallel?

yeah I wouldn't gap them to .22 thats gonna be way too hot. If you have them gapped to .30 and still having this problem then it's a fuel system issue or tunning. what is your emgine management?

I am using the non-parallel electrodes, because, like I said before, I have a hard time getting parts stores to order me the ES-11's, and haven't found a place online that sells them by part number, only application.

Anyway, what I have noticed it that the electrodes wear very quickly on the tip. My guess is that the spark is jumping from the corner of the electrode, and slightly melting it. So after 3000 miles or so I need to recheck my gap to make sure it hasn't grown. I also tried using the V-Power version of the plug, and the V-groove was almost completely worn away after 5000 miles or so. In any case I end up changing plugs almost as often as oil.

BKR7ES-11 (2387) is gapped at .044: 1.1 mm, hence the -11 in the part number.

BCPR7ES (3330) is almost identical to BKR7ES-11. It is 3 mm longer from seat to terminal (which doesn't affect anything), and comes gapped at .032.

I think you are thinking of BKR7ES, which I can't seem to find anywhere, either. It may be a discontinued plug.
