If you are not getting the help you need, I will take a look at your block.

I wonder if the dowels that connect the block and the head may have punctured the head gasket causing it not to seal? It happened to me, so it is possible.......

You have a big mistake here my friend , i have the m.i.d darton sleeves, and they have dropped me twice. So in my opinion you have a drooped sleeve , because you have the same symtoms that i had . Sleeve number 2 has sunk for 10thou.

Hey 2.2Lcivic I'm using a OEM Metal head gasket and I don't know if it uses o-rings.

Earl...if no one can figure out what the hell is going on then I'll let you know. Thanks.

Reditr...what do you mean M.I.D. and what motor do you have?

RS Machines...sorry, but I'm not dissin up guys...I just sent it to Dynamics and that's what they told me and XS says they used to use you guys, but I guess they don't. If the sleeves dropped then Valley is going to pay for everything and re install the sleeves or whatever. If not I'll go to you guys...what is your turn around? Thanks.

I am having the same problem...My coolant system is pressurizing and making it spit up through the radiator.

I have the RS open deck sleeves, and ive used both types of Cometic head gaskets, and now im about to try a factory overbore. I hope that will solve my problem. Im also gonna crank down my head studs to 85 ft lbs.

PS: my block is supposedly new, so i highly doubt the sleeve is dropped in mine, and my head is fresh from the machine shop.

I have heard Earl and Endyn recommend 5lbs over stock.

If you have a problem, tightening the head bolts tighter will not fix it. In fact, it could make it worse. You are not making enough boost or power to be lifting the head. Sorry, I won't bug you about this any more.

that sounds like a head gasket to me.. i have seen people use the wrong headgasket and the coolant in the rad shoot up very high when they try to bleed it..

Ok Ok....let me ask you guys something. When they built the block they had to overbore it my .020 does that mean I have to bore the gasket too? Sorry if this is a stupid noobie question. Thanks.

This is why you only want to deal with the major players.

Man that sucks, hopefully its only a few thousandths so you can surface the block like Earl said.
