it might be a way of catching people off guard in a race who want to see the engine bay real quick first or somethng. although it might be useful if an officer makes you pop your hood also.

Yea that's what I was thinking, were races at the track. Most people know what a turbo looks like, so say if you were to romp on some guy Trans Am at the strip hardcore you could show the T/A owner after the race that all you had was an "all motor" build with cams or something. It would be even more effective if it was at nght because then they wouldn't be able to get a really good look.

why is he running a line from the charge pipe to the valve cover? that catch can seems like it would fill up quick.

I think it may just be to make it look stock. Like how on the stock intake arm, the one line goes off of the valve cover and recirculates into the intake.
I dunno though, that is just my guess.

Ill try to find it, but I saw a built B16 that had the stock plastic intake pipes over the charge piping. The piping went through a hacked stock air box, it was amazing how stock it looked. And no, it wasn't Tony The Tigers, lol
thanks alot you guys. Thats exactly the car i was talking about. i wonder if hes using a screen mesh over the turbo instead of a filter? i cant see a thing
