GT2871R Integra Engine/Throttle/Boost Response Test Video
I compiled a video of several clips I had from the past year... The video shows some pulls done at certain RPM's, on/off throttle, and 1st-2nd gear shifts, etc... I want to give you guys an idea how my engine behaves with this certain setup. I'd figure it would be interesting to hear the feedbacks from you guys, good or bad comments, feel free to share
That's one of the things that keeps me into trying out new stuff
The setup is back in Aug 2005, but the only difference between this and now is 14 psi back in 2005, and right now I am at 18 psi, and a larger ITB manifold that I have now.

Setup as follows (March 2005):
B18C1 GSR, 1.8L, 81.5mm bore 10.5:1 CR
Forged Internals (Wiseco/Eagles), and Dart block
GT2871R 56 trim comp. w/ 0.86 a/r @ 14 psi
HKS T25 log manifold
3" DP, 3" exhaust w/ Magaflow Muffler, and Car Sound Cat
Jenvey 51mm ITB's w/ custom manifold
2001 ITR cams, set at 0,0
RC 750's and Walbro 255 LPH pump
Stock ignition w/ MSD wires and rotor
NGK #9 plugs
AEM EMS, tuned for 94 oct pump gas
Water injection, single stage activated @ 5500RPM and > 7 psi
Clutchmasters Stage III Clutch and 8lb flywheel
USDM ITR transmission with stock FD (4.400)
* some minor differences in the setup between the two videos.. I kinda forgot which was which, because I went with a built block afterwards. I think the 1st video was on the Dart block and 10.5:1 CR, and the 2nd video was on stock block at 11.5:1 CR.

I love the setup. My previous config used a AVO GT28R I got from Troy@XS Engineering. Those videos remind me of driving my old setup with about 75-100 less whp. If I wasn't so dead set on a 500+ car I would definantly own the GT2871R for a everyday street setup. If there was some kind of power/lag ratio the 2871 would be at the top of the list. What kind of whp did it make at 18psi?

Wow... fast car. Got a dyno sheet? How much whp?
When do you hit 18psi on that thing?

His running stock final drive. That means he goes way faster on each gear than the NA guys with i.e. the ATS final drive.

i was just interested to find out because im in the process of a build and will be using a jdm itr trans with the 4.7fd and lsd....... im lookin to make 300-330 hp and was hoping it would be tolerable........
How do you like the 2871 compared to the 2860 which I believe you used to run?

This is a very nice video about the characteristics of the GT2871 with a just-over-stock static compression. This one is my sister's EM1 setup and its very nice to see a vid based upon a full range of the turbo, and not a concentration on hp and and dyno sheets.
Very nicely done, indeed..

Would you be able to post a screen shot of 1 - 3 gear pull and 3 - 4 gear pull with Engine Speed, Engine Load and Throttle? Thanks

Wow.... that thing has awesome responce, I am also stuck on a 500whp pump gas type setup so I will never experience spool like that. I am sure that 10.5:1 Comp helps that spool alot too.
