Default skyline turbo

my friend got a skyline motor from japan that has a sinle t3\t4 turbo, but he is ditching it for a bigger one. I was thinking of throwing it on my d16y8 with some other goodies. what can i expect?

Well its not the stock turbo so that really dont help us know what it is. The rb25det had a single t28 and the rb26dett has twin turbos.

The RB25DET engine has a stock T3 on it. It has a ceramic wheel on it and would be a really good turbo choice for 300 hp aplications. The RB26DETT has twin T28's on it that are pretty decent sized and would do just fine on a SOHC engine. The RB20DET is again a T3 that is a little smaller then the RB25DET unit. As long as the turbo you get is in good shape you will be fine. Since these turbo's are all ceramic ball bearing turbo's they are not servicable like a standered bushing one.
