skunk 2 pro 1 cam defect

today went the track and my buddy was running his ca r he has a gsr built pulling 460 whp 385 for torque however at the end his day he was just drriving home and where the cam meets the cam gear it sheard off and had 2 tow him home and yes we torque the cams to spec anyone have this issue?
