i am going to be getting a single cam turbo kit it is a greddy kit it im going to be puting it on 96 ex motor the turbo kit is intercoolerless meanning it runs with not intercooler i was just wondering what kinda power it would be making and what the reliablitiy of this is going to be and can i get an intercooler made for it

in have had a b16a in my car and was wondering if the turbo singlecam would be faster

Stock boost on Greddy turbo will put you in mid to low 14s.

If I were you, I wouldn't even buy a kit. Build it piece by piece and get exactly what you want. I pieced mine together including a vafc and FMIC for less than the greddy kit.

if you are getting the kit a good intercooler kit for it would be the greddy type 31 kit. It comes with the intercooler piping.

 

greddy 31 is sweet you will never need one bigger and it is designed to fit perfectly w/ the G turbo kit

 

price, thats why its so much cheaper then other kits on the market. The kit itself is ready to run at about 5.5psi w/o an intercooler or bov(greddy kit doesnt come with a bov as well) safely. If you dont really care for the bling of a front mount just pick up a sidemount ic off a dsm for like 40-50 bucks and pick up some mandrel bends from jc whiteny. The intercooler very efficient for its size, i've had good friends take thier dsms into the high 12s with the stock sidemount without any major heatsoak problems.(they have since upgraded to front mounts though)
Its plenty efficent for a typical sohc turbo setup.

 

ok well my kit does come with an hks blow off and it is a t25 turbo with internal waste gate

 

just check my sig might give u an idea what power gains can be achieved with a single cam turbo with no tuning...afc hack and 2 hours of dyno tunning will get me 220 whp for sure....

Im sure you can get some info there... Just sell your stuff and peice your own kit together. Also that site has some good resources on other intercoolers off of other cars that will work well. The Mitsubishi Starion and the Dodge Conquest both have front mount intercoolers stock.

 

considering that, it wouldnt be exactly accurate to ask what times a sohc greddy kit would get, as it doesnt come with a t25. the t25 should be a little smaller than the td04h-15g that comes with the greddy. your spool up with be very fast, but ur top end will die off faster, and the top end on the greddy isnt that great to begin with on low boost with stock exhaust. just thought i'd let u know that. you mite as well post up exactly what parts you have if you dont have a complete greddy kit. that way pple know what kinda parts ull be using

 

ok well the torbo its self says mitusbihiwhich it what all greddy kits use (right) it has an internal wastegate but the manifiold says greddy i have a 2.5 inch exhaust already and i have a botred out throttle bodie the kit ahs an hks blow off valve becasue there was an upgrade that my frind did

MAYBE BE IT COULD BE A TD04H but im not sure where can i lok at it or how can i find out THIS IS NOT A HOMEMADE TURBO KIT !!!!!!!!!!!!!
