Default Single ot Twin piston BOV?

Hey all, I have a Bailey DV36 BOV for my soon to be tuned 90 CRX built B18c4 (uk)

Will the Twin piston be OK or will I need a Single Piston DV34??

Do they operate differently?

Cheers,

Paul.

hmm. interesting. I haven't seen a twin piston BOV in YEARS. Not common here in the U.S. or even Australia

Thanks for the reply... With that reply I take it I should be looking at getting a Single piston valve.

The car is being tuned on Friday so I need to get this sorted ASAP! I don't want compresser surge on the day...

Again, many thanks.

Paul.

i think a dual piston valve will work just fine on a honda since we use MAP sensors. im not 100% sure what the difference is but from what im reading, dual piston valves were created to help MAF vehicles vent to atmosphere. since this doesnt apply to hondas i think any atmospheric valve will work fine. i say run what you have

Cheers fella's,

I rang Bailey Motorsport today just to ask them as I'm panicing a little as Friday is getting closer (Dyno tune day). They said the Twin piston dump valve is for a car with an Air Flow meter (as was pointed out on here). Our CRX's (or Honda's) don't have these... However we can still use twin piston BOV's... If it was the other way around then you must stick with the Twins.

Bailey also said that at any time whatsoever... If you send your BOV back to them for around £38 they will service it and replace all internals (and external casing if required) with a years warrenty! Bargin!!!

They also said if I send them my DV36 (twin) they will convert it to the DV34 (single piston) for that same service price.

Bailey Motorsports FTW.

However I have just bought a Forge BOV which should be with me on Wednesday as a back up... Once the car is tuned I WILL be going with the TiAl valve to match my waste gate.

Thanks again.

Paul.
