Tinker- If you have problems with the viscous coupling taking too long to lock up, you can easily weld it into one piece and have a straight power transfer. You just want to drain the fluid out of the VC, and then weld the two halves together, it should make sense when you take it apart.

I plan on it
This drivetrain will eventually be in another chassis, so when I drop it from the wagon, I will be SURE to do this
If you need to stop, jack the ebrake, whip it sideways...lol. Ive gotten to the point where I can do it on-command, on pretty much any surface(prolly gonna get hounded for this, but ya lol). Makes parking ALOT quicker. And no, I have yet to hit another car. Few snow-banks, but hell, those move when you hit em

would you like video of what that will look like?
a year or two ago, one of the car mags did an event they called "ultimate street car challenge". i don't remember many of the details but one of the cars was a twin engined Tiburon, both were automatic trannied, both turboed with nitrous. one of the catagories was gross display of horsepower. he did exactly what you were saying. a standing burnout- front engine in reverse and rear engine in drive. the picture in the mag didn't even begin to show how awesome this was. luckly a friend of mine had ordered the video(still available) and this was shown.
if you can pull this off in a Honda, then you sir are my hero.
