Default should i or not?

well my friend is giving me a deal on a 2000 type r head comes with dizzy no intake mani and head jus got resurfaced, he wants 600. i have a mild built GSR block 9:1 je pistons, eagle rods, acls bearings, block guard, 82mm bore, micropolished crank. get the type r head or jus run a full GSR. im going to keep the head stock my goals are around 275-325 HP running about 8lbs. another question is which would be more benficial with a PnP later on when i go all out? or does it depend on the PnP. are the flow characteristics the same or does it matter where i send it to? example portflow VS JUN oh ya will this lower my compression with these pistons or is the head gasket i use?

the type R head will lower your compression compared to a gsr head, about .2 i believe... i have a type R head i like it, im sure everybody has an opinion, id get the type r head, keep it, build the gsr head on the side, then put it on when your ready and just sell the type R head again...
