Default Should I do more head work?

Good evening, all. Here's my current head setup:

B18C1 motor/head
OEM cams/sprockets
3-angle valve job
Port match on the intake side with a Skunk2 mainifold also port matched
Port match on the exhaust side
RC 650's
OEM GSR TB
All seals/gaskets were replaced about 20k miles ago
Garrett T3/T04E
MaxRev shorty exhaust mani.
2.5" exhaust piping with a Random Tech. 2.5" cat and 2.5" N1 muffler for daily driving
2.5" McCord electronic cutout directly after the downpipe for racing

For all the engine specs, go here: http://www.honda-acura.net/for...=1197

I made ~390 whp at ~20 psi on pump gas with the cutout open.

The exhaust has been spitting some black specs at idle and I'm feeling a lot of condensation coming out when I put my hand up to it so I think my head gasket may be going out (85mm Cometic). I'm going to replace it with an 84mm Cometic and I figured while I have the head off I might want to make some changes.

I need to try to keep this thing emissions friendly for CO so please keep that in mind. I've also always been told that Turbo Cams are a waste as the OEM GSR cams will easily make 650 whp (pounded into me by my tuner). Thoughts?

Does anyone have any recommendations for part replacements and/or shops? I can do the simple mechanical things as I built the whole motor myself, but I've never replaced valves/rockers/springs/retainers so I don't have the tools.

Any info would be great. Thanks.

Just throw in some ITR cams. The porting on the c1 head is fine up to like 600whp, maybe more.
I mean it wouldn't hurt, but for the amount that it costs, you might as well upgrade the turbo or something else.. .
LSD. turbo. something. .

Why would I want to put ITR cams (longer duration) on a boosted motor?

I'm surprised at the lack of turnout on this thread... bump.

Then why does everyone always say that the C5 is not a good motor to boost? Is it just because of the higher compression ratio?

Yes..

ITR cams can make some good power on boosted B series. There is a bit more tuning involved - but it can be worth it. Terry (Boostfed) will vouch for this - he is the Honda-Tech example, gaining some 30whp from ITR cams alone on his B16.

I would agree with waiting on porting the head. I would add ITR cams and valvetrain and a nice intake manifold and work with the stock port for now. Probably more worth your money then a port job with stock cams and IM.

Just my .02 - everyones got one !!

Very interesting...

I already use a Skunk2 manifold so I'm good there. I'll have to look around for some ITR cams. Is the only difference between the GSR and ITR cams the duration?
