Should I be buying a turbo kit from ebay?
Help! I've been reading on this topic for a while now and am wondering if it is safe to be buying a turbo kit from ebay. I see tons of ads for brands like OBX, SSautochrome and XS Power. They are extremly inexpensive but they look awsome. Has anyone ever seen one of these products in person? I've heard horror stories about manafolds cracking or wastgates falling off of manifolds but no one seems to have witnessed this first hand. I own a 92 hatch with a JDM B16a2.
Please help!

You can get a turbo cheap from Ebay. Going to be used, though, and you'll be chancing that it needs a rebuild.
If you go that route, this is the guy I got my T3 from. He states the condition of the turbo in the auction, including sideplay and endplay measurements:
http://motors.search.ebay.com/...turbo
Sometimes he has .63 and larger T3s, right now he doesn't have much up.

I've heard good things about the edelbrock kit and the greddy kit. Does anyone know any others that are well recommended?

Ebay kit = Unless someone selling their used kit with good feedback, but it's still risky.
If you want to save money, I say assemble your own kit. Had I bought a complete kit, I'd have to pay $3500 for mine, and that's not including the gauges, SAFC, fuel pump... etc etc. After I did some reading and searching, I put together mine under 2k, with everything.

Yep... agree with all. Ebay SSAC and similar **** =
Check the classifieds here on H-T. I just put together my entire setup including guages FMIC, and s200b for less than $1800. Keep looking and you will find what you're looking for.
