so i cant decide which manifold i want/need,
my goal is a quick spooling 300+ hp daily driven sohc.
ps is more importent then AC to me... (but if i could keep the ac will be gr8)
thanks.

I have a ramhorn, but don't have AC. Works well for me. I also used to DD on a log manifold.
Honestly whatever you want, they all will work.

I have an AFI ramhorn manifold with 3" downpipe. I still have my power steering and AC. It was an extremely tight fit but I love it.

the advantages depend on the turbo and setup and your goals. its like a sandwich. bad example i know. it's good but there are many different combinations to a sandwich which make it good. dang it >_< now i am hungry lol

300whp and DD make me think of ONLY ONE manifold....a shorty. I have an SLS Shorty on my GSR and absolutely love it. It spools fast (w/ my GT3255b) on the street and still makes great power up top. Before i had the SLS shorty, i had a topmount. The SLS shorty made more power overall (that includes peak power) than the topmount!

i ran a CCFab topmount w/ a 3" DP. The manifold would have worked well with a higher HP Setup or larger engine (1.9-2.0L GSR) but on my setup, it just added to the lag. There was a HUGE difference in spool times when changing from the topmount to the shorty. It isn't going to be that drastic if both manifolds are of the same build quality and design, but its inevitable that a shorty will spool faster than a ramhorn; however, it will die off up top if you're pushing it to the limit.
