shipping a block???
what is the best way to package up a block to ship it for sleeving?I have a very heavy duty cardboard box (3/4 in thick) that had a tv in it.. im thinking i can take some 2x2's and build a little crate to hold it in place and put that in the box with some 'this end up' stickers. and what about shipping it? can I just take it to the UPS store and ship it out? or will it likely have to be freight?

Seriously the best way to ship an engine or transmission is to use a large rubbermaid storage bins. They are not expensive, reusable and very tough. You'll need at least the 14 gal size. Line the sides and fill voids with carboard or hard insulating foam cut to size. You can lock it by drilling two holes an inch apart and zip tie the top on.
