Shifting sends shock throughout whole car
I have turbo with a CM stage 4 clutch and when I shift into second quickly with high rpm the whole feels it like a bang! Is this just the clutch grabbing and doing its job? Its so bad im afraid I might start breaking axles or mounts soon. Could it be just worn stock rubber tranny and motor mounts not absorbing the load? Should I just get some polyurethane tranny and motor mounts is that it? I have 100K miles.

yes, it wont hurt to get some motor mount inserts, theyre really cheap too, like $50 or less. It will help that problem a lot. Even with my stock clutch my car used to jerk real hard, with the ES MM inserts, it doesn't do that anymore, but it send all the vibrations from the motor into the car. So when I start the car up or sitting at a light or something the car shakes.

You could also have a completely trashed motor mount - at around 100k I found one of mine completely disintegrated so when I went into gear I could hear and feel the engine "clunk" aganst the metal mount itself. Get some poly motor mount bushings and that should at least stiffen things up a little bit to match your clutch.

I also have motor mount inserts in my car. It shakes at idle. My friends clutch, when he shifts, his whole dashboard like jerks and you can hear his tranny go "gdgdooooom" ... haha not good for the tranny. Oh well!
