She's alive!!!! starts right up, no leaks...
after a year of building a motor and turbo setup for the first time ever, and it works!!! yeah I'm siked...
last night I had friends over for a small start up party... had a video camera and everything, I start it up nervous as hell, didn't see oil press so I shut it off right away, tried one more time and still no oil press... so I figured I had to tear the motor down, said screw it, and partied anyway...
tonight I talked with Earl and a few others and the all said I was a wuss ans just didn't let it run long enough to get pressure, so then I tried it again and everything was fine
I have a funny short vid of the first start up attempt at my little party... I'll post it soon. better yet I'll post a dyno graph soon as well
I have a list of people to thank but I'll do that right after tuning so I don't jinks myself.
but for now I have give BIG thanks to Earl and Flamenco-T (Stan) for all their help... my man Stan! I can't say enough how great his service and support is! fast-turbo.com gets all day!
stay tuned for some numbers and vids...

same here I saw pics when you had the engine out and all. Everyone was giving you props and telling you it was so beuatiful to not put her in
I'm glad it started right up. Now get her tuned, get some miles and lets see some REAL power

no doubt that it started up right away... You did everything soo meticulously... and you triple checked everything.... you obsessive compulsive freak … jk.

Re: (RacerXI)
congrats man. I know the feeling. I just installed my first boost setup and cranking it up was nerve racking, but it went well the first try. I just pulled the ignition fuse and cranked it a few times to get the oil to the turbo and system first

Re: (Arturbo)
Thanks everyone! many of you guys were my motivation when I see posts like this and gives me something to look foward to and also some hope that things will work out. after having this car for 3 yrs and 3 motors I may have it right this time
hope I can pass on the motivation to those of you not finished with thier builds.

yeah good thing I didn't get through because I was to excited to talk, think I called while the motor was running. I was going to have him send a head gasket to me because I thought I had to tear the motor apart. the hg was not leaking, it turned out I had the heater hose without a clamp on it... and of course tell him that I had oil pressure since I was almost crying to him the night before
the only thing bothering me is my compression is low hopefully because I did not rev the motor at 2krpm for 15min. instead I just let run at idle until running temp, so tonight I have to rev it and hope the rings will seat

Congrats on the start up. See, I told you that thing would build pressure if you gave it a chance. Just like spanking a new born bady to get it to start breathing
