Default With this setup would i be able to hit 12's

I have a 00 b16 that I have already sent off to be sleeved by Darton. I have not bought anything else yet, I was think of : eagle rods, aries pistions, arp head studs, crower dual rate valve springs and titanium retainers, integra type R intake valves stock cams, skunk 2 intake manifold, rc 550'cc injectors and hondata s200 all being put down to the ground by clutchnet 6 puck and stock flywheel through a gsr tranny. My power adder is a max rev manifold, tial 35mm wastegate, vortec bov, t3/t4 with a .63 exhaust and 3 inch downpipe. I was wondering how much horsepower this set up would be capable of or maybe a estimate of what kind of times the set up would put down. Any help would be greatly appreaciated

all depends on how much boost, i'd be scared to use eagle rods from what i've been reading..but that's just my thoughts...also check to see how maxed those 550's are going to be. talk to your tuner would be the best bet.

Yeah, what's with everybody putting down Eagle rods? I also have Eagle rods and haven't had any problems. I thought Eagle made a quality set of rods? Someone please fill me in on their experiences with Eagle rods, good or bad. It seems from what I have been reading lately people are saying they suck, but why?

eagle rods are good its just that the rod bolts will let go it your not using moly lub to torque it up to arp rod bolts specs (28lbs) or if you over torque them it can also weaken the bolt ends which is pretty thin...this is from my experience

One person said they sucked and everyone else jumped on the bandwagon without their own personal experience. So many people have had good experiences w/ their eagles and i have a set waiting to go into my new motor...

A friend of mine is pushing 800hp with Eagle rods in his DSM, I can't imagine them being much differant then from the rods they make for Hondas.

I figured one person had a bad experience with them, which was probably installers error and then they said something, at which point everyone else just junped on the bandwagon. That's usually how quality parts get a bad rep. I'll continue to use Eagle rods in my motors
