Setup 95%complete. help me with the clutch+Turbo!
Well, I have got my setup put together or i know exactly what i am buying except for the clutch! I dont want to spend more than $750 on a clutch/flywheel combo, although i am willing to spend more if need be, but nothing outrageous! Car will be daily driven on the highway/traffic!
WHP Goals:
93 octane 420-450whp
116 octane 500+
Setup:
Motor
GEM 84mm sleeved b18c1 w/ Full race rods and CP 9.0:1 pistons all new OEM bearings, prodrive oil pump gear, all new belts, hoses
b18c1 head is left stock with ARP head stud kit
Fuel
Bosch upgraded fuel pump, AEM fuel rail, precision 880cc inj, aeromotive FPR, aeromotive fuel filter, Hondata s200b
Turbo kit
Lovefab cast sidewinder, precision sc61 or gt35r turbo undecided, precision 750hp intercooler, custom 3" dp and ic piping, Tial 38mm wg, Tial BOV, fittings, hoses, clamps, etc...
drivetrain
clutch/flywheel?????????
Quaife LSD
So far i have looked into the ACT XTR6 with the prostreet flywheel, clutchmasters stage 5 clutch with flywheel, and i need opinions/suggestions!
The turbo option is obvious that many will probably say GT35R but I want to make sure it will spool quickly enough to make it worth while! also considering the GT30R if it can handle my hp goals!
?
I appreciate all and any help as always!

Re: Setup 95%complete. help me with the clutch+Turbo! (88 turbo crx)
My set-up is close also, I ended up with a RPS Carbon/Carbon clutch, I found a single disc one from John at secret services used and it's rated over 500wlb/ft.
Only thing is, new they run around 1800 more then double your looking to spend.
But keep your eyes open for them. You can look at them at http://www.turboclutch.com

Wow, if you offer a completely rebuildable clutch and flywheel that holds 500lb/ft
for a quarter of the price that lasts longer then Carbon Fiber, half the people on
this board should be using your clutch. Wanna fill us in on what your using?

Go with the ACT Clutch and Prolight Flywheel. I am pretty sure you are going to want to pick up a scatter shield if you ever plan on going to the track too. I am not a big fan if Clutchmasters. But that's my opinion.
When are you looking for turbo to spool? And the Tial 38mm is too small for your setup, IMO. You should look into the Tial 40mm or 46mm. There are some hybrid T3/T4's out there that would spool way sooner and be flowing 800+ cfms and easily capable of 500+ whp. Here is a link: http://www.agpturbo.com/

The Tial is plenty capable of the power! and i will be moving on to a bit different setup before i hit 450 anyways! I am just using the lovefab and 38mm until i can afford the Full Race and 40mmTial!

Yeah ha, the ! is really just habit for some reason unknown to myself. every time i post i always do it and i don't know why? I dont do it for my papers for college or anything either, i guess i just get bored with the period. I will try to stop, because frankly it annoys me.

Go with an ACT clutch, I admit I am partial because I like mine, but DSM guys run crazy power with them. I believe Shepard who makes 800 whp or more runs a 2900 lb pressure plate. Many dsms run in the 500 whp range run 2600lb clutches. Go with the street disc if its a street car.
