Setting my fuel pressure?
Hi guys,
I want to set my fuel pressure up correctly, I have a B&M FPR with gauge and an Walbro LPH.
I hear of people saying I should do this with the vaccum dosconnected? So do I just prime the fuel pump? Or start the car also?
Will starting the car with the vaccum disconnected ruin the engine?
Quite a simple question really I just dont wanna damage my car having come this far with the modifications.
Thanks in advance

So take it off, start the car, set it then put it back on?
Or take it off, prime the pump, set it then put it back on?
Im pretty sure its the first one just want to be sure.
Thanks for the reply

pull the vaccum line off with the car on set the fuel pressure and put the vaccum line back on. It is not going to damage anything if you pull the vaccum line off while the car is running. Depending on your setup you may want to looking into a better regulator in the past I have not been impressed with those B&M reguators.
Hope this helps.

I pulled the vac line off while the car was running and it died. If I try and start the car without the vac line connected it wont start? Anyone have any ideas?
The vac line I am removing is the one going into the FPR

1) Start car, let idle
2) pull off vac hose connected to the fpr
3) cover the this vac hose (ie, put ur little finger on it) so you dont get a vacuum leak on the intake mani.
4) set your desired fuel press
5) connect your vac hose back to your fpr
Job done. Simple.

If you pulled it and your car died then you pulled the wrong one. Pull the one connect to the intake, NOT the one going into the fpr.
