Is securing vacuum hose necessary?
I was just curious if securing the hose with small clamps, zip ties, etc is necessary for higher boost. I'll be running 1 bar max, but do you high boost guys clamp them down because of the high pressure? Or is it not needed? Been wanting to know
thanks.
Nate
thanks.Nate
I use zip ties on most of my vacuum lines such as BOV, FPR and 3BAR Map. Everything else such as wastegate and brake vac. I use clamps. Seems to be working fine for me.
You don't have to clamp them. The only one I would recommend clamping down is the vacuum line to and from the wastegate. You don't want that line to blow off while' you're boosting 14 lbs

Exactly, hehe. Ok, thanks guys. I'll probably clamp the wastegate line and zip tie the rest of the stuff just to be on the safe side. one less thing to worry about

I've had a friend blow off a vacuum line that the GReddy pressure sensor referenced off of after only hitting 3psi. I say use clamps where possible and ziptie at the very minimum on lines that will see positive pressure.
