I have been burning oil on my built engine and now it has 5,000 miles and it still burns oil. I did a compression test and it had good compression all the way across. 192-190-190-192. I was told that I could have some bad valve seals and that it could be the reason I'm burning oil. So my question is what brand valve seals are people running with their brass valve guides? Whats a good brand? The kind that I have in there now are made by peak performance. Let me know whats good. Thanks

I have always used OEM. Never had any issues.

Do a leakdown test if you can. OEM seals are best, but like Sammy said I honestly don't think they'll cause much oil to leak down to the combustion chamber. I've even read about leaving the exhaust valve stem seals off on turbo applications. They seals are cheap enough themselves, but kind of a pain to get to without a valvespring compressor. So, it would be worth your while to first eliminate the possibility of oil getting past the rings by doing the leakdown test, and if that doesn't provide any answers, then by all means, seal away! Also, if you get the valvesprings off, wiggle the valvestems to make sure there isn't any play. Good luck
