I think that it is kind of getto. The are made in calgary and the couple of cars that have them here run like ****. But that is all about tuning. I think that you are better off with a hondata.

What makes it Ghetto? Did you know that one of the fastest all motor Hondas was running SDS. The AEBS Crx had it as well as there Sentra. It's just like any other programmable engine management, it's all in the tuning. It actually has better resolution then just about any other ecu. I believe it has 64 MAP values every 250 RPM. Hondata is easier but better, I dont know about that.

The interface to the system is getto it looks like i made it in my basement. It looked to be very confusing to program. Or maybe it was the owner did not understand that well and confused me.

But your right in that it is cheap and if you can program the thing it should be fine.

Maybe your friend the older model but all the newer SDS controllers I've seen are just a simple digital touch key pad with a readout. As for it being hard to tune, it's actually pretty easy, I think the owner didnt know what he was doing. Compared to DFI, I think the SDS is much easier to tune. The reason I like it is because of the fact that you dont need a laptop, it's really very easy to tune.
