SC61 vs PRECISION HP6262 BILLET TURBO
I have a 60-1 right now with the extended tip on it. It is the 60-1 with ar63 housing. I am about to finish up my car.. but i am thinking that i should buy eithier a sc61 or a Precision billet turbo.. I am wanting to make a min of 500.. but i want to be able to get 620ish. I know this is a lot.. but this is just want i want. I do understand that the sc61 will do the job for 500ish.. but after its coming close to being maxxed out.. I have been seeing the sc61 and the precison turbo's go for the same price.. so that is why i am wondering which one i should get if they are about the same price($899.99) Well that is what i am seeing how much the precision turbo's go for at http://www.kineticmotorsport.com/cat...RBO-305-1.html.
The car is going to be a street for the most part.. but i will go to the track when i get my lsd!!!
My setup:
B18c1 sleeved
ls eagle rods
arias pistons(ls)85mm
ls crank
b16 head with gsr cams
spoolin ramhorn manifold and 3" downpipe

both are great turbos. matched well with your setup either one will do the job. the sc61 doesnt max out shortly after 500. i think they are rated to 700+ but with the larger exhaust housing. the sc6262 is putting out great numbers right now. on pump a buddy of mine just put out 540 and over 700 on race with plenty of room left.so just pick you poisen. i recommend the 6262.

If you look around at the Honda-Tech vendors, I think you can find one even cheaper than that, like down toward $800.

899 for a billet wheel journal bearing turbo is a good deal. its abotu the same price as a sc61 and will outperform throughout the powerband and peak power

You dont even need something as large as the 6262. I would recommend the billet 5857, or even the 6057. They will spool quicker and easily make 620whp.

Re: SC61 vs PRECISION HP6262 BILLET TURBO
I am thinking the same thing.. I might be happy with 500whp.. But if that is the case.. I have a turbonetics 60-1 with the extended tip.. It is has a ar 63 housing on it.. It is not really big at all.. but i can make 500whp on it.. I was just wanting to get a turbo that can make more power.. if i need it.. or I guess i should say want it.. lol.. I don't know what 500whp feels like.. but i am going to be happy... reguardless of what i get..

The 6057.. does sound good.. The real thing that i like is options meaning. not much limitions.. you talk about spooling wise( I know that all motors are different when it comes to how turbo's react to it, but how is the 6057 on a 2.0L gsr..?) Do you have an idea.. thanks in advance...

Re: SC61 vs PRECISION HP6262 BILLET TURBO
I think the 6057 actually might be discontinued, I heard something about it before and it just came to mind. The 5857 will easily make more power than a 3076R, the compressor is far better. Ive seen one make near 600whp in an Evo.
