SC guy wanting turbo info
With a turbo'd car how do you avoid the check engine light illuminating. I know the MAP can read boost up to 11 PSI, but the CPU cannot accomodate this info. I've heard about the "missing link" check vavles. Do these somehow divert the boost signal upon entering from vacuum?
Also, what does everone use out there for engine protection. I know the factors are basically the same as with my SC.....but I see fuel and timing issues ALL OVER the SC boards, and not very frequently on the turbo boards. Aside from retarding timing, is everyone using the J&s or stand alone system???
Thanks for info,
SC guy

Most people use check valves. The best check valves are the whisper 2000 check valves @ your local pet store. By using check valves it wont give a chance for the map sensor and ecu to pick up any boost. With the check valves you are diverting the boost pressure away from the map sensor.
Hey ekb18c, I take it you work at the company you have a link to on your sig. You guys have a dyno there right? I'm looking to get my car dynoed. What kind of dyno is it and do you have an accompanying air/fuel meter? Also, what are your rates? Thanks a lot!
believe or not. the best check valves are the fish tank check valves. I had played with automotive check valves and they dont seem to work as good as the whisper check valves.
Go figure..

We had to sell the dyno because our neighbors complained about the noise.
