is it safe/ok to buy RC injectors on ebay?
I need new injectors for my turbo '94 GSR as they are still stock. Someone told me not to trust buying RC injectors on ebay because they flowrate may not actually be true. Can anyone vouge for this. I have never had a problem buying on ebay. Also, what flowrate should I be looking for using up to 10 psi of boost? If ebay is not a good source, what are some good companies to go through. Lastly, how can I tell if my Mass Air Flow Sensor is no good, and where can/should I buy a new one?
Thanks
Thanks

if they are new i would trust them as long as the seller has good feedback. if they are used you may want to reconider it. its hard to know if you getting ripped off

just get them flow checked after you get them its usually really cheap (20bucks) and as for your Mass air flow sensor, hondas dont have those, they have manifold absolute pressure sensors... if you want to pick one of those upgo to a junk yard and get another stocker, or you can pick up a motorola 2.5 bar/gm 3 bar but you'll need the corresponding ecu adjustments for that.

wow, no ****, so that's what MAP stands for. you would think I should know a lot more than I do being boosted and all, but I bought it turbo'd (never again) and haven't had time for the learning a lot of what I should know.

so, what is the flowrate I should be looking to buy? I want to purchase today. 550cc? I also need to do an overall tuneup. any recommendations on good things for a tune up? I am getting new NGK plugs. i don't think wires or rotor/cap is necessary as the MSD that is currently installed has probably on been there for 3 years

Go with 750's or bigger, if you have engine management. It's better to have more than enough fuel, than not enough.

I just ordered a set of RC 1000cc from momo_pwr on ebay. He has thousands of positive feedback and responded quickly to my email about authenticity. He said they come with a flow data sheet like my 550cc sat. did which i got from a authorized dealer. I'll post up for sure if it turns out to be some knockoff.

I just got an email back from the seller of my car two years ago, as I asked him about what plugs the car was using. he said he call RC engineering and the 550s will be too much, with too rough of an idle. said 440s would be more than enough. now, that I already went and bought them, but maybe I can return them quickly. does this sound accurate to you? also, I never realized how big a deal spark plugs would be. he said, to only use NGK coppers because the car hates Iridiums, and they have to be two steps colder than stock and gapped 26-28.

Re: (CrazyModGSR)
i disagree about the injectors, the car will idle like stock with 550's just keep them they will be fine, i can idle 750'sfine so i think 550's wont cause a problem. As for the plugs and gaps i agree with, although the gap is a little on the small side i would go with a .030 first and if you get spark blowout then reduce the gap till it stops

got mine on ebay. only thing you have to make sure on ebay is that they are not some shitty generic company, they are in good condition, and the seller is credible. picked mine up on ebay real cheap from a dyno shop whom used them in a few dyno runs, work perfect.

depending on what you pay for them, RC charges 24 each to clean and flow test them. i got mine from a trusted h-t member and still got them balanced. if they are new, you are ok. but if they are used i wouldnt put them in w/o sending them out.

so I think I am set with the injectors. I want to get the plugs today. so does that sound decent to just get the Coppers that are two steps colder than stock?

btw, since you said you are running stock injectors, I assume that means you are running an FMU? you know you will need to get rid of the FMU and get some type of engine management to run the 550's. the stock ECU will not be able to control bigger injectors correctly.

there is a vortech fmu installed. what would you recommend for engine management? i need to go fairly cheap for now if possible, but I wouldn't mind using Hondata or Uberdata later, as I have a carputer installed in the car, and this might be decent. any suggestions? there is a local shop, Swift motorsports that has done a lot of turbo work, and I want them to check everything out and do the tuning. I just want this car to last me about 6 years, as I am buying a 3 family house next year and then starting to save for a 350z or a z06
