SAE Dyno correction for turbocharged vehicles. Let's discuss this
How accurate is this.
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">The current SAE accepted correction factor, SAE J1349 Revision, June of 1990, is meant for a naturally aspirated engine. For those of us using forced induction, this correction factor will result in an overly optimistic corrected number for those using it at altitude and becomes increasingly more inaccurate as the higher boost levels are run at that altitude."</TD></TR></TABLE>
I can see where this would be accurate in places like Denver, where you're 5000' up.

So why is there a correction factor?
I personally would rather have the actual whp instead. I don't want some corrected number for ideal conditions. I want what I have where I live...thats just me.
Anyways back on topic...
Why would means of induction create a different correction factor?
