i purchased a used apexi s-afc controller off someone on the net. im almost sure its missing some wiring that he didnt warn me about before i bought it. i want to make sure with someone who knows before i get on him about it. what he sent me was the controller box with the cord coming off of it. what does that plug into?? there should be another harness from this plug to the ecu right???? need to know asap

 

you are correct. same thing happened to me. i just got multi wire phone cable and soldered it to the cable that was there to run it to the ecu.

 

ill try talking with the guy and see if he has it and will send it to me. i'm pretty sure the harness is called splitting "something". anyway i want to check and make sure the controller works. could i do this by putting the power and ground wires directly to a battery? wont fry anything?

Well, that wire harness is basically only used as an extension. Either way if you had that extension, you still need to tap and solder the wires into the ecu yourself.

 

i pretty much figuired thats all it was and could do without. still pisses me off that the seller wouldnt include that. i didnt get instructions either but i can get them onn the website
