i blocked mine off (after removing coolant lines from the TB and IAC, the sensor freaked out and couldn't sustain the idle. i presume it soon after kicked it as i get code 14 once in a while. besides running a little bit rich when cold, there is no problems. as far as the coolant lines, i had no use for them, LA is plenty warm for it. but slight pinging disappeard under part throttle. do not disconnect it though, place a plate between intake mani and the valve.
good luck

you mean coolant lines?
you will still have CEL from the valve itself. the lines come off the block to the TB and to the idle valve. bypass them both and rout the line back into the block.
