Default Running WAY rich with S-AFC & 450's ---PROBLEM SOLVED---

I've checked all my connections serriously like 10 times, my safc is hooked up right, it works, my injectors are in good, and my resitor pack is all hooked up good too. I put it on a wideband last week and my afr was like 10:1 and 9:1 at times just running at cruise, not in boost! My settings on my safc are lo- -50% at 1000--2000rpm and -44% at 3000 and -40% at the rest, and hi -40% all the way across. With those settings, in theroy, I am actually running LEANER than stock at idle and low rpm's, but the wideband said I was running too rich, I could even see and smell gas sputtering out of my exhuast. Bottom line - My injectors are spraying too much fuel under both open and closed loop control. I have no Idea why, can anyone with more understanding give me some guidence?

Serrious, I'm looking on the apexi web page RIGHT now http://www.apexi-usa.com/produ...e.pdf and I don't see anything that says Map, remember this is for a S afc, not V afc

Assuming you have the wires correct - make sure u have the settings correct under the ETC. menu..

Make sure you have Pressure sensor selected with 06 in and 06 out

yes, that's the diagram I used and I am ALMOST dead positive that I didn't switch them, it's raining out right now, so I'll check in about 10 mins and post back. So your friend was running WAY rich too with those wires switched?

did you put a resistor box with your 450s? .. also go all the way -50 to get it idling rite.. 450cc is actually 80% larger then stock .. which means at idle you will be running 30 percent rich even if your put it at -50 on the safc

6 in-6out, 4cyl throttle up. i used an s-afc on a crx with 450's last week and just had to use a 23% negative correction. i could easily lean it out enough to kill the motor.

ok, I reinitialized it, and then I started looking at it more carefully, and I realizewd that the press sensor was set at in 06 and out 06, I actually did a sensor check which gave me the other numbers, so ****, who knows what it is now untill I get it on another wideband. I really don't feel like driving in the dark with my a/f ratio.

is that ture? Because i always thought it takes longer for the DSM injectors to open, and on the SMC instcutions it says set idle & 1k to -(30-35), where as 2k+ around -40, to tell you the truth my setting is 34,34 and when its in drive and i'm stoped the autometer a/f reads perfect in middle (won't go to red or green), but when i'm in park/netural (auto) its rich.
