Default Running a intank and inline fuel pump on the same setup??

I am currently finishing up my built b18b steup. My aim is 475-500 hp. I am running the Walbro intank 255lph fuel pump. I have a never used inline pump laying around in the garage. I was wondering if I could benifit having both on my setup? has anyone done this before? Btw...I searched! Thanks

Upgrade the wiring on your intank 255 to ~12 gauge. This means you upgrade the power feed AND the ground - ground back through the chassis is substandard. I typically use a spare headlight relay, energised by the stock wiring, to apply power via the 12 gauge hot wire.

With stock fuel lines that will do you to 500 whp and a little beyond, no problems and no bullshit.

Sell the inline pump and buy some Taco Bell, homeslice.

it is called a parallel fuel system, we used to do it on the grand nationals. modern muscle 40gph in tank, and an 044 inline.

they work, but as said above, even with stock wiring, my civic made 540 with a walbro.

Yeah, you priced what line and fittings would run to put that inline pump in series with the intake unit, via any quality method?

Up to 500whp you dont really need the inline pump. Your walbro pump is 255 High pressure fuel pump right? Pretty much all setup I've seen, all run 255walbro had more than 500whp. Some goes all the way to 600whp on stock line. With your goal, I would say sell your inline and start buying tires.

to add a little something to this, i know a guy with a crx with 2 fuel pumps, stock intank and an inline where his filter should be, and he had the inline pump on a switch, everytime he wanted high boost he'd hit the 2nd fuel pump...

You could do that, but I would'nt try that if I were you. The down fall is that; say you have 1 good high pressure fuel pump, if the pump fail, broken, cut wire, loose ground etc.. you know it right off the bat because the car wont start cause of no fuel. If 2 pump were installed, if something happen to other pump, the car still running, you keep boosting and I think you know what happen after that.
I say if you care about your fuel system and needed more fuel as stated by your tuner, I would upgrade to the Bosh 044; they good up to 700+hp and no need to worry at all except your fuel line maxing out.

Past 500 gets a little scary on stock lines, the problem is not the Walbro pump. Walbro 255 are 600 whp pumps... on cars that use a lot more fuel under boost than Honduhs.

Last stock fuel line Honduh I tuned made 333 at 11-12 psi wastegate with 12:1 AFRs, and 477 whp at 30 psi and 11.6:1 AFRs. Spraying a 60 shot - traditional wet kit setup - made 421 whp at 12-13 psi wastegate (the nitrous caused a boost surge) with 11:1 AFRs.... and 541 at 30 psi at 12.1:1 AFRs. This exact same kit was last used on a friend of mine's car that had Walbro 255 and upgraded lines and it exhibited none of the leaning out in the 500 whp range vs 400 whp range characteristics.

+1 for selling the other pump and running larger wire with relay.

Why do they call it parallel fuel systems anyway. I googled it and came up with squat. Makes no sense to me why two fuel pumps in series would be called a parallel fuel system.

You would be running the fuel pumps in series not parallel.

But as others have said. The intank walbro 255 will ultimately be limited by our stock lines and feed voltage... so no reason to go to a second pump in series when you cannot quite max out the single one intank.
