Default running a divided turbo and manifold?

would running a divided manifold ( 1,4 runners merge and 2.3 runners merge ) and a divided turbo help on spool up times?? i know it does drastically on rx7's wondering if the same thing goes with hondas??

I would assume the reason it helps RX7 is because they are rotary engines. On Hondas i dont think the runners need to merge.
