Default Running on 3 cylinders?

I blew my head gasket due to boost creep a while back, so today i decide to take the head out and replace the gasket, to my surprise i saw this.

It seems to me that my car has been running on 3 cylinders.
Can anyone confirm this, and explain to me the possible reasons why and how this could happen?

Coolant gets in the cylinder = instant steam clean. Looks like their's combustion residue in the valve releifs still.
