running 16psi safely...
I'm waiting for my 440cc injectors to come in and after they do, i want to run around 15-18psi...probably 16. Well anyways, Will my drag vortech fmu supply enough fuel at that much psi? And i really dont want to spend all that money to get the hondata and go through tuning it. Some guy said that he ran 18psi on a typer with a 12:1 fmu? Wut da heck is 12:1? wut is the vortech one that comes with drag? And also, is it necessary to get a btm? So far i just have a msd6a w/ external coil. Thanks for the help.

Re: running 16psi safely... (BoostedSi)
that set-up will work fine as long as you have a afc to lower the fuel at idle.i had that set-up and made 380whp at 18lbs.i did have a larger turbo than came with the drag kit though.the vortech that comes with the drag kit is usually a 12:1.if you take the screws out of the top and lift off the top plate(you can do it without spilling fuel while it is hooked up),and the silver disc takes up the whole space,it is a 12:1.the 12:1 fmu rises the fuel pressure 12psi for every one pound of boost.with a walbro 317,my fuel pressure maxed out at 90 psi.
