i was wondering how much am i looking at to run really low 12's...i was planning to get the b18b since ive been hearing this is the best block to boost...but really i need to know how much to save up to be able to push this much...thanks for you help in advance...(the car is a eg hatch by the way)

I drink corona w/lime. It's a little more expensive than your regular beer (bud light, miller light, coors light, etc...).

its possible in an eg hatch with a b18b boosted.


just remember, tuning is your friend. your motor will last a lot longer that way.

 

I like to chug a Olde English 800 while I'm running a 12 second pass down the track in my turbo LS hatch!

 

The average LS-t setup starts around $3000 (turbocharger, FMIC, turbo manifold, fuel, engine management system, etc.). And of course...proper tuning------&gt; $???

 

I'm approaching $9,000 invested in my quest for speed, excluding the cost of the car but including the cost of the swap.

For the original question, you should be able to make close to 250whp on stock internals which is plenty for mid to low 12's in a gutted EG hatch on slicks.

It'a also possible with a stock d16z6 in a full interior coupe with a little boost.

 

or just a GSR in a hatch. Well a drag hatch. haha.

 

back to the Real topic. I think Miller High life light is good for running 12's. It's cheap and very potent yet has a lot of potential and not everyone has it
