Default Run without Fuel Pump? Boom?

My friend seems to think the stock GSR pump can handle a 12:1 FMU and anywhere from 7-9 PSI....what exactly would happen if I let him take my pump out and try it?

Id run extrememly lean and explode as the FMU tried to build pressure out of a trickling fuel supply, correct?

7-9psi on a stock fuel pump and a 12:1 FMU.. WOW! Even at just 7psi, that's 40psi from the stock FPR + 84psi from the FMU for a total of about 124psi. Even high pressure pumps have a hard time supplying fuel at such a high pressure!!
