I was reading on the rotrex super charger and it looks like it has the advantages of a supercharger as well as a turbo, mainly because it can give power gains up to 400 BHP without the turbo lag and exessive heat of a turbo plus being much lighter as a kit. is there something i did not understand? it looks to good to be true. thanks.

 

It's a centrifugical supercharger, like a Vortech, but with a better drive system.

 

The only time you won't get lag with a rotrex s/c is when you are already pushing higher RPMS and step on it, or downshift. Otherwise you get instant LOW boost if you are low on rpms.
