Are they good?

They seem to require way too much piston to wall clearance. They scare me.

I'm curious to find out what AL alloy they use and what % of silicon content they use which requires so much piston to wall clearance.

With their piston to wall clearances it would seem to me that they are suited better for race only engines meant to be rebuilt often.

I do know they use 2618 T-61 aluminum but I am not sure about the % of silicon content... I am curious as well...

In the Evo stroker apps. they tell you to use a 6 thou piston to wall clearance. I couldnt believe it. But these are the number one pistons for the DSM community, not a Honda application. And as far as silicon content, I am told that it's 0%, just straight 2618. Thats straight from Ross.

Took the words out of my mouth.

Ross/Pauter combo is what dsm heads use by choice.

Ross/Pauter for high horsepower applications

My friend was running some Eagles in his dsm and litterly broke two of them in half, He thinks it was cause he was making to much hp with them. However i think it was a tuning issue...

In that case they must be some tough pistons being straight 2618 but just be care full not to drive the car at all until the engine has completely warmed up. At those clearances the sleeves must take a beating until the engine is nice and hot.

Thanks for the comments.

I am trying to find pistons/rods for my F23A1 engine (86mm pistons) but I guess everything will have to be custom built since I could not find the combination I am looking for. CP or Wiseco is on my list.

Running custom 85.5mm CP's on my f22. Went through rocket at m24x.com and got a great price for custom pistons. I'd talk to him.
