Default rom editor 2.5 password?

I'm switching laptops and don't seem to have this written down anywhere. I have contacted Hondata but anything to speed things along would be great.

haha, this has been covered a bunch of times. Good luck getting another key to open it up again. The program creates a random code everytime you install it, you have to get the key from hondata.

I see, I wish I could get my hands on it, just to tune other peoples cars. I don't want it for my benefit. My friend has an s200 and can't tune it.

gotta pay to play man. Where does Hondata gain from giving the software for free? If they gave the software for free, then its in AEM price Range. I know i only went Hondata becuase of the price. Deff wasnt for customer service or Support, becuase they suck at that

I don't want to use hondata, I am just saying, it sucks for those that can't get their unit tuned. What the hell kind of support is it, if you get all the hardware but can't tune the damn thing... it really should just come as a package and not any extra bullshit like it is now. The price is already high enough for it.

I agree with that, I bought the s200 box thinking I could atleast do something with it, but it is useless... I just bought the datalogging option but still pretty much usless without the romeditior Going to buy the boost option but damn thats another 400 for boost and romeditor!!! I thought hondata would of been alot cheaper then this to run

It's definately shoebox. I spent a little while before I posted trying to remember what it was and all I could come up with was icebox.

if you get the software with the hondata unit and ecu, then they would.. but you can just buy the software from someone.. I have the software, just can't get a key.

what do you expect? really?
Everyone is out to make money. If they give you the software for free, and you make money on the tuning ,where do they gain? And dont tell me you tune for free

Mine would be for a friend.. I am not really bashing that I want it for my own use man. I wouldn't charge him to tune his car, it isn't that big of a deal for me. It just sucks that he is going to pay out the *** to get it tuned. I completely understand why people without the system can't have the software, it just sucks that those with the hardware can't even get it, and those that do get it should be able to get it tuned where ever they want, free or not.

Tuning costs money, it's as simple as that. Either via paying the tuner or buying the software.

If you want free, there is Uberdata. Just sell the Hondata.

I know they "can" get it, but the point is it should come with the hardware, already included. Selling all these options and junk is retarded. I can tune my friends car for him, I wouldn't have him pay me anything for it. It is all just a big money scheme.

Don't worry I will keep using uberdata, I am a big supporter of it.

like i said, if they added it all in, Then its AEM price. Most people that get it dont even know how to connect it , let alone tune it. So Hondata offers those people an option to get it cheaper without the software if they dont need it.

Yes it sucks, but this is America. I hate Hondata, but they do atleast give you options if money is tight

Very true, an full standalone system like AEM can be more complex than a stock ecu based system, because you are just modifying codes.
