rod question
Hi, I have a little question. How many whp can take the stock b18c rod with forged pistons and arp bolt.
I ask you that cause I have a complete b18c5 to put in my car but I have to rebuilt them and I dont want to spend alot of money in it but I have to oversize it a bit and put new piston in it.
My turbo is a gt30r so it doesnt produce a lot of heat.

If you have money for forged pistons and a gt30r, you should just buy rods...Even if it takes more time to build it just suck it up and buy rods...
If you really can't buy rods there are people making 400whp on stock blocks so yes stock gsr rods will hold

I would at least get some Eagles. Like mentioned above, if you have money for forged pistons and a GT30R then you should have a few hundred more for some rods. Matter of fact, there happens to be a few people over in the classifieds selling some GSR/Type R eagle rods. Its relatively cheap for some Eagles but its more of a piece of mind and in the event of a mishap, you'll have wished you just spent 300 dollars or less for the after market rods. A broken rod is going to cause a **** load of damage. Much more than it would have been to spend the few hundred on rods the first time.
Ok thx for the advice, but im very short in money, I bought my turbo set up last year and now my job have no work for me so I can't put a lot of money in my car but my b18b burn oil and I have to replace it. 225000kms and 10000kms on boost
