Does anyone know if all OBD2 distributor caps are the same style i.e. this distributor cap http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MSD-82933/

Or are both OBD2A & OBD2B not a like ?

 

obd2a/b have the same caps. gsr/type r and b16 have different size caps though. a b16a has the same cap as a b18b/b20.

 

No sir, the GSRs and TypeRs are the same but the B16s are different.

No, i have more or less everything i need apart from a few bolts for the cylinder head . I'm going to try to get the bottom end done before i go to California. I'll take plenty of pictures don't worry.

Is this going to be your first motor your putting together rich? Or have you put one together before? I'm not gonna lie I was super excited when I did mine.

 

I'd say within a few weeks after i get back from Cali it should be done. I don't like to rush things like this.

Thanks for the offer but i need new bolts ( i already have loads of old bolts lying around) The main bolts i need are the cam rail bolts as i like to replace these. They cost a fortune over here so i will be purchasing them whilst over of there.

No, i've assembled a few engine now. I also made a fair few f*ck ups though which i've learnt a lot from. So this engine should be a good solid build. I love messing with engines and mechanical things lol.
