Default RevHard vs. MaxRev

I tried searching for a comparison about these two but I found none. I would like to know what you guys opinions are on these two kits. My purpose for the turbo will be to boost my LS motor. I was going to piece a kit together but it would be more expensive and troublesome to piece it rather than buying a kit. I was gunna go big with the SC61 but I decided a T3/T40E would be suffice for my needs. So pro's and con's for both of these kits would be helpful.

Revhard is going to be a lot better than Maxrev from the start because the Revhard manifold is a much nice manifold than the Maxrev junk.

i have a revhard kit on my teg and i also have a percision SC61 turbo. this is some before and after pics of how shitty the revhard piping lined up.
The IC is about 2 inches lower than where i needed it to be and was 2 inches off center as well. every single pipe had to be cut and rewelded in order for it to fit right.

this is after ALOT of work......

word of advise...if you plan on getting a revhard kit....just buy your parts sepratly and put it together yourself. save alot of money, time, and hassel.

THe maxrev manifold isn't junk.

The thing is with the maxrev kit..it isn't really a kit. It is more of a collection of parts to get you started on the way to a custom kit.

Probably easier (and better) to start from scratch than to start with a maxrev kit. But the best turbo kit you can buy is going to be a Full-Race kit.

Probably. I bought a maxrev kit, and I have upgraded lots of its parts. I like the IC, manifold, DP, and turbo. Thats about it.

They are intentionally longer than they have to be just in case. Better to be too long than too short. It only take 30 seconds to cut a few inches off with an exhaust pipe cutter.

And I dont understand why you say they didnt line up? All you have to do is rotate the elbos to line them up.

Plus you have a JDM front end and you wonder why the intercooler has problems being lower than it should?

My Revhard 2c kit fit fine and installed easily.

How do you like it? Also, what are you using to tune? i.e. Hondata, Uberdata, etc... My car is OBD0, and Im not sure if Hondata makes an OBD0 setup.

Go Rev hard all the way
I have installed 2 revhard kits with no problem. You will prob have to cut up the pipes but its better that they start out longer than shorter. The one downfall with this is that you will have to cut off the bead around the end of the pipe and it makes it esay for the plumbing to blow off. I would just get t-bolt clamps off the back and you will have no problems. also put tie straps on ALL the vacume lines off the bat so they dont come lose. I rember the first time I really punched it in my si the pipe blew off the turbo and the vac. line to my something or another came off, thank god it was not my, at the time, vortech raising press. reg. or i would have went lean bad and **** would have hit the fan.
Ditch the inline pump right away or do away with that crap all togather and get some 440's or 550's and a good ems and tune that bitch
Good Luck

From the looks of it, it even has an extra o2 bung for a wideband.

care to explain why you think maxrev is "junk"? Do you have any personal experince with their products? I had maxrev parts on my car and NEVER had any problems... good quality stuff. Plus they are pretty good about replacing/warranting their parts.

i've never had any revhard parts, but from what i've HEARD, i think that either brand would be a good choice.

WTF?!?!?!

Maxrev manifolds are NOT EVEN CLOSE to JUNK!

Obviosly you never seen one in real life because if you did you would be able to tell the workmanship that goes into one.
