To resurface or not to resurface the flywheel, that is the question?

I've got my transmission halfway off and was going to resurface the flywheel tomorrow before I install the kevlar Action clutch I got from Rocket's GB. Rocket reminded me not to forget to resurface the flywheel, yet a couple people now have posted that that messes up the flywheel, making it wobbly, affecting break in. Who do I believe?
you should always resurface the flywheel....resufacing it should be ok....there is a service limit which whoever is doing the resurfacing should be required to check prior to resurfacing it.
damn, that's a lot of resurfacing in one sentence

You gotta resurface it to get rid of hot spots. Or else the clutch won't evenly grip.
As long as your not reducing it to like 12 lbs or something, then your ok.

you should have someone check on the flywheel to see if it needs resurfacing, but if it doesnt, then there is really no need for it.
Unless the flywheel is just plain rough, uneven, or has bad hotspots all around it i usually take a sander to both the flywheel surface and the pressure plate to smoothen it out and rough up the surface of both mating surfaces. I've done numerous clutch installs this way and havn't had any problems, still grab like new.
